JTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Level-1 (Primary Classes 1 to 5)
- 12th Pass with minimum 50% + 2-Year D.El.Ed (session on or after 09.12.2007)
- 12th Pass with minimum 45% + 2-Year D.El.Ed (NCTE norms 2002, session before 09.12.2007)
- 12th Pass with minimum 50% + 4-Year B.El.Ed
- 12th Pass with minimum 50% + 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
- Graduation + 2-Year D.El.Ed (any stream)
Level-2 (Upper Primary Classes 6 to 8)
- Graduation + 2-Year D.El.Ed (any stream)
- Graduation with minimum 50% + B.Ed (enrolled after 29.07.2011)
- Graduation with minimum 45% + B.Ed (NCTE norms, enrolled before 29.07.2011)
- 12th with minimum 50% + 4-Year B.El.Ed
- 12th with minimum 50% + 4-Year B.A/B.Sc B.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
- Graduation with minimum 50% + B.Ed (Special Education)
- Post-Graduation with minimum 55% + 3-Year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed

Selection Process
The selection will be based on a written test conducted in OMR-based multiple-choice question format. Each paper contains 150 questions for 150 marks. There is no negative marking. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes per level.
Minimum qualifying marks are:
- General/EWS: 60%
- OBC-1 / OBC-2: 55%
- SC/ST/PVTG/Divyang: 52%
